Question of the Day

In a convo with some friends, a couple of them said they can't do monogamy. I raised an eyebrow, trying not to judge.

They said there's too much going on to be all hugged up with one guy. One of my friends just came out and said it's too hard. I asked for them to elaborate, but they really couldn't pinpoint their reasons. But I wonder how others feel.

Do y'all think monogamy is too hard?

Tim Tebow's Teammates Tease him for Running Shirtless in the Rain

In his training camp debut as a Jet, Tim decides to show off his newly built body. However, his teammates rags on him for being a "superstar".
"When we walked into the quarterbacks meeting room, we told Tim, 'We're just glad you kept your shirt on for the meeting,''' McElroy said after Sunday's practice. "Sure enough, there it came off and he sat shirtless for about 30 minutes.

"Especially when we're in that room, we give each other a hard time.''
Other teammates got in on the action.

"The slow-motion run?'' asked linebacker Bart Scott about Tebow's run. "Like I told him, 'I've never seen anybody decide to take their shirt off in the rain. Usually, I put stuff on.
"Maybe it was holy water."

Wide receiver Chaz Schilens didn't see the television or web shots of Tebow showing off his newly-chiseled physique after adding nine pounds to his 6-3, 250 frame.

"Oh, man, he mentioned something about it,'' Schilens says. "I heard it was all over the news.
"It was a little funny. But I'll bet he won't do it again.''
Oh Tim, they picked on Jesus too.

The Gay Man's Guide to Dating After 50

AARP has some dating tips for gay men over 50. Here are a couple:
Worried you aren't good-looking enough anymore? Who'd want you when there's some 30-year-old hottie turning everyone's heads at the gym? Don't even let yourself go there. Focus instead on being your best self, no matter what your age. And remember that the most important characteristics — loyalty, humor, intelligence and compassion — are ageless.

For every 20-something entering the gay dating scene full of wide-eyed wonder, there's a 50-something (or a 60-, 70- or older-something) man back on the market after a relationship ends. One is learning the rules; the other has "been there, dated that" and wonders, "Now what?" It's daunting to consider starting over. The truth is that you've earned your age. You really can own it. Focus on what you've gained — rich experiences, accomplishments, survivor skills and wisdom. Your next romantic partner will benefit from all of that, and from your passions for the life that's in front of you.
This is a great read, please check it out.

An Idaho Libertarian Group uses a Billboard to link President Obama to James Holmes

This foolishness was created by The Ralph Smeed Foundation, a group of libertarians who think Obama should be held accountable for the soldiers in Afghanistan.

Why they chose this format to do it, I don't know.

Stupid is as Stupid does.

I just learned what a Play Party is

This weekend, I learned what about a play party. What I thought it was... well, let's just say I was way off. I thought it was like a meet and greet.

During the convo, I asked, "What do you wear for one of these events?" I got some interesting looks. It was then, I learned that a play party was something to do with sex.

Later on, I told one of my friends about the "Oh My Moment". He couldn't believe I didn't know about play parties. I told him, I thought it was like a picnic or luncheon. Hell, I almost asked about the type of wine to bring.

Apparently, gay men should know these things about the sexual world. Me, I just know the basics x 2. I'm not that vanilla, but I didn't realized their was so much stuff. Some of my friends tell me stories that are really something else. Nothing's wrong with a little kink, but there's so much going on out there.

Parties, role play, Lycra, pissing parties, Dom and Sub... y'all, sex has become the Olympics. And I feel too old to be competing for the Gold.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch might have a Sequel

If you liked Hedwig and the Angry Inch, get ready for a possible sequel.

Vulture reports:
Journalist Kevin Sessums writes that he recently had lunch with John Cameron Mitchell, who just finished the first draft of a sequel to his 2001 musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, originally based on Mitchell's own stage play. (Stephen Trask will return as composer.)

What's it about? "Let’s just say it’s something that could only happen to Hedwig — a phantasmagoria with dollops of brutal reality interwoven into its multi-media narrative," says Sessums.
This could be cute.

Chris Brown disses Frank Ocean

Chris Brown continues to be a nuisance and mess. Just recently, when he was in Cannes, a reporter asked the fallen star about Frank Ocean and his coming out.

What did Chris Brown say? He responded with this: “Man, no homo!”.

If you didn't know, the phrase “no homo” basically mean to reject or denounce anything that LGBT.

According to PRLOG, there's been drama between the two before:

Brown has had run-ins with Ocean before, in 2011 the two exchange hate tweets that eventually erupted into Brown sending family members to attack Frank Ocean. Brown also has a long history of homophobia and is known for making homophobic statements in the past.
I guess Chris is mad because Frank is outselling him and getting more attention.

James Holmes claims Amnesia

Crazy James thinks he's slick. He is claiming memory loss.
James Holmes, the suspected shooter in last week's movie theater massacre, has told his Colorado jailers he doesn't know why he's locked behind bars, the Daily News reports.

But no one at the Arapahoe County Detention Center is buying Holmes' story, a lockup worker told the News. The jailers who come in contact with Holmes, who is sequestered from other inmates, believe he's faking amnesia.
This is pure mess. James, you did it, stop playing! You are guilty as Hell!

Kirk Cameron will not meet with Bullied LGBT Teens

Kirk's people responded to the request to meet with the bullied teens.

Here's a part of the letter from Kirk's manager:

He usually flies in the day of the event and after the event is actually traveling to the next one.  Because of this intense schedule, there is not time to set up extra meetings like you are suggesting.  That being said I would normally just write a simple reply, "Thanks for your invitation, however Kirk's schedule will not permit," but because you have taken some time to share some of your feelings, Kirk asked me to personally thank you on his behalf for your kind invitation and is very sorry he can not attend because of the schedule that weekend.  I also want to thank you for taking the time to write and share your heart in your letter.
For this reason, I want to share this thought with you, from someone who sees and works with Kirk almost everyday of the year - I promise you his goal is not one of trying to hurt people in any way, in fact it is just the opposite. He has a concern for their well being - not only now, but eternally.  He goes out to share a positive message through events like this weekend and I assure you he will only be presenting a positive/ inspiring message.
I would like to suggest if you really are interested in Kirk's thoughts on the matter, you can listen online to the interviews and comments Kirk has shared where he was given ample time to communicate his heart and thoughts. I hope you can attend the event and see for yourself.

We wish you the best, Mark Craig
Manager for Kirk Cameron
