Anthony Mackie could be Falcon in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

New comic book movie news! The handsome Anthony Mackie is set to play Falcon in the next Captain America film.

Here's the scoop:
THR reports that Anthony Mackie is gearing up to play Falcon in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." So who's Falcon? Raised by two loving parents in Harlem, and a respected community member, after they are both killed, Sam Wilson becomes a criminal and pimp, renames himself Snap, and decamps to Los Angeles. While working on a job for the mob in Rio De Janeiro, his plane crash lands on Exile Island where he comes under the wing of Red Skull and his followers who are in hiding. Using the Cosmic Cube, Red Skull gives Wilson a range of powers, including a mental link with his beloved trained falcon Redwing (and other birds), and the ability to fly. Eventually he becomes pals with Captain American and they fight crime together (there are a couple of different version of how this happens, depending on the storyline you use), with Black Panther developing a harness for him to help him fly.
This is not set in stone, but it seems to be complete on point.

The TV 'Captain America' wanted to be in the 'Captain America' Movie

Remember the hot actor who played Cap in the 70s TV movies? Well, the guy Reb Brown is back and upset he wasn't in the 'Captain America' movie:

Brown tells TMZ that at one pint ... the producers told his rep they were into the idea of having him make an appearance in the movie. But before he knew it ... he was reading about production getting underway in London without a single call coming his way.

What irks Brown the most is that Lou Ferrigno got to make a cameo in the 2003 terrible remake of "Hulk."

Brown says he'd love to be in the sequel (if there is one) and would take any role he could.

Marvel had no comment, but a source tells us this is the first they've heard of Brown's displeasure.
Maybe he can be in the sequel or in Thor's sequel.

Captain America can't keep its title in Russia, Ukraine and South Korea

Interesting... Captain America: The First Avenger can't keep its movie title in Russia, Ukraine and South Korea.
Though it is common for American blockbusters to feature less US-focused titles in foreign markets, Paramount largely decided against the alterations for Captain America, and instead gave foreign countries  the choice of two titles, Captain America: The First Avenger or The First Avenger.

Interestingly, most international distributors believed the franchise name was so identifiable that not using "Captain America" in the title could risk losing ticket sales.

Spokespeople for Marvel and Paramount declined to comment on why Russia, Ukraine and South Korea opted for The First Avenger.

Additionally, it is expected the film will likely not see release in China due to a policy that only allows the country to theatrically screen 20 foreign films each year. However, a decision has yet to be reached.
Wow, it feels like they don't like us. I hope there info coming down the pike about this.

Hottie Derek Luke will be Howling Commando Gabe Jones in the Captain America movie

Solid actor Derek Luke will play the first Black Howling Commando, Gabe Jones in the Captain America flick.
Since there are only a few African American comic book characters from the Marvel universe during that time period, Blackfilm.com exclusively confirmed through a reliable source that Luke will playing Gabe Jones, an original member of the elite Howling Commandos combat squad of World War II.

In an early 2010 interview with Chud.com, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige had stated that Jones would be part of the film but had not cast the role at the time.

As the first African-American to serve in an integrated unit, Jones, who was also known for carrying his trumpet into battle, is one of the close confidantes to Sergeant Nick Fury, who would later become the head of the organization S.H.I.E.L.D. Jones would later join him as an agent.
This is great, congrats Derek!
