Family Research Council calls on their Prayer Team to Fight the Gays

The FRC are in fear of the Gayness in the air. So, they are going to their prayer team to draft up an attack against us.

Check out this mess from their site

Our courts went from prohibiting prayer for children to aborting children, to giving special benefits now to same-sex partners, and the military now admits openly practicing homosexuals. Several states have legalized same-sex marriage, and instead of prayer, public school children are given explicit instructions on how to have "safe" homosexual and heterosexual sex. President Obama has placed homosexual activists in leading roles throughout his administration. Our President now endorses same-sex marriage, and has ordered colleges, including religious schools, to offer students insurance covering "free" contraceptives, abortifacient drugs and sterilization.

"Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof" (Lev 25:10), is inscribed upon the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. It refers to the Jubilee God ordered to be proclaimed every 50 years in ancient Israel. 2012 marks 50 years since the freedom to pray was taken from America's school children. Americans now find themselves subject to spiritual, economic, political and religious oppression beyond anything the founders faced. Will you pray with me that 2012 will be a year of Jubilee in our own nation and that we will see the tide turn from oppression to real liberty?
Good Grief... read more after the jump

DOMA Ruled Unconstitutional - Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for Northern California has become the third federal district judge to declare the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) unconstitutional. The law protects states that disallow same-sex marriages from being forced to recognize such marriages performed elsewhere. It also defines marriage for federal purposes as the union of one man and one woman.
President Obama has refused to defend the law in court and now, pledging his support for same-sex marriage, has set the stage to over turn it. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said he may put forward a bill to repeal DOMA this year and expects to see a plank supporting same-sex marriage to be in the Democratic Platform this year. This issue is destined to be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court (see DOMA Ruling; Harry Reid).
  • May God stir the American people to speak up in favor of marriage, both to their elected representatives and at the polls in November. May we neither be silent nor dull on this! May Congress and the Court uphold DOMA (Ps 30:12; 107:2; 110:3; 119:126; Acts 4:24-3).
Watchmen on the Wall Pastors' Briefing - several hundred pastors from 46 states attended the 9th annual Watchmen on the Wall Pastors Briefing in Washington, D.C. Many declared it to be the best briefing yet. A team of over 40 experienced intercessors kept the prayer fires burning throughout the 2 ½ day event. Special sessions were offered to help equip pastors and wives to embrace their calling to make prayer of first priority, to preach what God's word has to say about the issues being debated in our culture today, and to partner with other pastors to impact upon our communities, states and nation. The main sessions were taped and are available for anyone to see via the Internet. Those who pray will find them valuable. Please give this to your pastor (see 2012 WOW Video Archive)
  • Praise God for what He did at this briefing. May God use each pastor to encourage, and stir other pastors in their own and other states to pray, preach and stand for righteousness in the public square. May they stand with Tony to help 40,000 pastors become effective "Watchmen on the Wall" in their churches and our nation! (Is 6:6-8; 62:6-7; Eze 33:7 ff; Joel 2:17-18)
Maryland Marriage Referendum - Maryland Governor O'Malley made passage of a bill to legalize same-sex marriage his first priority this past January. With promises and arm-twisting, he persuaded members of both houses of the Maryland Assembly to pass the measure narrowly. Yesterday, Pastor Derek McCoy, President of the Maryland Family Alliance and Director of the Maryland Marriage Alliance, delivered more than 122,000 petitions to the Secretary of State's office - more than double the signatures needed (55,736) to put a same-sex "marriage" repeal question on the November ballot. The Alliance's goal is to turn in 150,000 signatures by the June 30th deadline. Pro-SSM activists have big money and backing from the state's political machine. Moreover, Maryland's Attorney General Doug Gansler, has vowed to overturn the ballot should the people vote to overturn the new law in November. Gansler plans legal action before hand-picked judges appointed by O'Malley (Twice as many Signatures, Contribute to Help in the Maryland Fight, Gansler Plan).
  • Praise God for His favor at this stage of the fight. May He now provide the necessary finances to get out the message for marriage and to counter the campaign planned by homosexual activists. May Marylanders stand for marriage! (Is 10:1; Rom 8:37; 2 Cor 2:14; Phil 4:19)

Family Research Council's Ads Target African-American Lawmakers in the Gay Marriage Debate

Rep. Earline Parmon

The FRC uses race baiting ads in their latest attempt to stop gay marriage:
The Family Research Council, a conservative political action group from Washington, DC, is running ads on local radio targeting seven African-American Democrat lawmakers as they consider whether to vote for a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage.

One of those ads is aimed at Rep. Earline Parmon, a Democrat who voted in support of the 2008 Marriage Amendment. She said on Friday she plans to vote against the current proposed amendment, a shift in position she attributes to the political climate.“Alert. Marriage is at risk in our state. Our laws defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman could be overturned. Call Earline Parmon ask them to vote yes to the marriage amendment," the ad says.

Parmon said Republicans are using the issue of gay marriage to get conservative voters to turn out for the 2012 presidential election. She said she still believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.

The Family Research Council didn't explain how it chose what lawmakers to target in the ads, but Wake Forest University political scientist John Dinan said he isn’t surprised the group has focused on black legislators.
Hopefully, the equality groups can stop this from getting worse.

VIDEO: Equality California ties Tony Perkins and his Hate Group to the KKK

This is an aggressive strike from EQCA, as they point out the lies and connections of Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council

From EQCA
(San Francisco) Last week the Family Research Council, a virulent anti-LGBT organization with ties to the Ku Klux Klan and recognized as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, joined the effort to overturn the FAIR Education Act in California and released a video message to fundamentalist churches on behalf of the campaign. In it, the group’s executive director, Tony Perkins, blatantly lied about and grossly misrepresented the FAIR Education Act, which requires California schools to include factual, age-appropriate information about the contributions, social movements and current events of, people with disabilities, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), and Pacific Islander people in already existing social studies lessons.

Family Research Council calls "It Gets Better" project "Disgusting"

Interesting Quote: Tony Perkins

Despite all of the disappointment, God is on the move. Regardless of how things appear, never doubt that He is at work behind the scenes. Rainbow colors may cut through the New York night, but shadows are where you and I are called to shine. The world takes advantage of the darkness, but only the church can set it ablaze. "Arise... for your light has come... See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn." (Isaiah 60:1-3)

Basically, he's upset about the gay marriage vote in New York.

FRC and NOM are Begging House Repubs to deal Marriage Equality in DC

These people are really pushing it. Even after the Supreme Court rejected Bishop Harry (Snakeface) Jackson's foolish challenge to D.C.'s marriage equality law; he, FRC and NOM are approaching the House GOP to end D.C.'s gay marriage period.
Tuesday's decision was not an endorsement of gay "marriage" in this city or anywhere else. It was simply the court recognizing its own limitations. On matters affecting the District, Congress is the absolute authority. The justices are leaving it to them to clean up this mess, or not.

Last year, when the city council exploited the process and forced same-sex "marriage" on the District, House leaders could have--and should have--gotten involved. Instead, members chickened out and did nothing. Fortunately for D.C. voters, times--and the party majorities--have changed. I've been discussing possible steps GOP leaders could take to do what the city didn't do: give the people a voice. Believe it or not, Congress has the power to override the D.C. government's decisions any time it wants. It could reject the marriage law outright or order the District to adopt a new statute that would put this issue on the ballot. What the Left doesn't want you to know is that D.C. doesn't have the authority to block referendums on marriage. Only Congress does.

"The answer for us," Bishop Jackson said yesterday, "is to return to the political process." And you can help! With a strong new Speaker at the helm, Americans can demand that our nation's capital follow our nation's law--which is that marriage is the union of a man and woman. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is the Chairman of the House Government Oversight Committee. As a representative from California, where Proposition 8 is under attack, he knows firsthand the importance of leaving these issues in voters' hands. Email or call him (202-225-3906) today and encourage him to give the people of Washington, D.C. the same opportunity.

Will they just give it up already?

Right on Cue, Hate Group Family Research Council vows to stop DADT

Watch this joker talk about stopping DADT

And they even mention that they have Sen John McCain to help them in their foolish efforts

As for FRC, who will take great pleasure in seeing this lame-duck finally limp out of town, we'll be spending the next couple of weeks reassessing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" debate. In fact, I've already been in conversations with Hill leaders about holding hearings in the New Year, as well as statutory and legislative oversight steps that can be taken to turn back aspects of the repeal and slow down--if not stop--the rest. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and others will be working with FRC to put a strict evaluation process in place. We want to ensure that the Pentagon is monitoring the effect of this radical change on the men and women in harm's way. One way to do that is demanding specific measurables--like tracking the sexual assaults, dips in recruitment and retention, combat distractions, and more. If there's the slightest disruption to the military's mission, you can bet that FRC will be on the Hill, demanding to revisit this repeal. And unlike the Senate Majority Leader, we won't consult Lady Gaga first.
You ain't slick, cretins!

Hate Group Family Research Council will support Primary Challengers to the Senators who vote to repeal DADT

This is a foolish stance to take, FRC, foolish indeed. This group has sent out a release on how they will "Endors and Fund" primary challengers to the senators supporting the repeal.

FRC Action PAC Pledges to Support Conservative Primary Challengers to Any U.S. Senator Voting to Overturn ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ During Lame-Duck Session
December 17, 2010
WASHINGTON, D.C. – FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with FRC Action, the lobbying arm of the Family Research Council, announced today that it will endorse and fund conservative primary challengers to any U.S. Senator who votes to overturn “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” during the lame-duck session.
FRC Action PAC President Connie Mackey made the following comments:
“We are pledging today to endorse, and help fund, conservative primary challengers to any U.S. Senator who votes during the lame-duck session to overturn ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ FRC Action PAC will work to remove any U.S. Senator who would place liberal special interests ahead of the priorities of the American people.
“The U.S. Senate has twice rejected the overturn of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ Despite this, Majority Leader Harry Reid continues with his obsession while failing to address the essential responsibilities of the federal government. As three of the four service chiefs have made clear, the men and women of the Armed Forces who are engaged in fighting two wars should not be distracted by Congress using them to advance a liberal social agenda. Using the Senate’s time in the lame-duck session to pay back his liberal political base is simply absurd and demonstrates once again Senator Reid’s misplaced priorities. Members of the Senate should refuse to become accomplices in helping Harry Reid advance his agenda over the American people’s agenda,” concluded Mackey.
Also here's a memo with more info, including the senators to watch

I tell you, if they don't understand why they are a hate group, then they are delusional

Family Research Council Tony Perkins can't get over being in a Hate Group

Aww poor Tony, his feelings are hurt, because his little group is labeled as a Hate Group. In fact, he's so upset, he had to put out a press release, demanding an apology:
Washington, D.C. - Family Research Council President Tony Perkins released the following statement in response to slanderous attacks made by the Southern Poverty Law Center:

"Family Research Council has, for nearly 30 years, advanced faith, family, and freedom in public discourse. We do so with civility and compassion. We hold to the indisputable fact that the family - a Dad, a Mom, and children - is the best building block of a good society, which is why we oppose efforts to transform it based on personal sexual preference.

"The Southern Poverty Law Center is a massively funded liberal organization that operates under a veneer of public justice when, in fact, they seem more interested in fundraising ploys than fighting wrongdoing.

"This is a deliberately timed smear campaign by the SPLC.  The Left is losing the debate over ideas and the direction of public policy so all that is left for them is character assassination.  It's a sad day in America when we can not, with integrity, have a legitimate discussion over policy issues that are being considered by Congress, legislatures, and the courts without resorting to juvenile tactics of name calling.

"The Left's smear campaigns of conservatives is also being driven by the clear evidence that the American public is losing patience with their radical policy agenda as seen in the recent election and in the fact that every state, currently more than thirty, that has had the opportunity to defend the natural definition of marriage has done so.  Earlier this month, voters in Iowa sent a powerful message when they removed three Supreme Court justices who imposed same-sex marriage on the state.  Would the SPLC also smear the good people of Iowa?

"Family Research Council will continue to champion marriage and family as the foundation of our society and will not acquiesce to those seeking to silence the Judeo-Christian views held by millions of Americans.  We call on the Southern Poverty Law Center to apologize for this slanderous attack and attempted character assassination."

Oh, Tony. The only messages Iowa sent was: Look at the outside money coming in to oust the judges. Look at how you manipulated tons of people, using lies and half truths.

And don't bring in the election, sweetie. The economy and taxes were strong pieces of the GOP's victories, not social norms and morals. So don't talk that jive to me.

Accept what you are, a Social and Cultural Terrorist, Tony.
