My Vague Review of The Dark Knight Rises

After the horrible incident, I wanted to wait to show my vague review of The Dark Knight Rises. I don't know about you, but I thought it was great!

Superb, even!

But I don't want to spoil it so here is my review
  • The movie was almost three hours long
  • The use of Bane was beefed up, better than the comic version
  • Catwoman was very good, I 'm glad I was wrong about her
  • The movie takes place 8 years after the Joker's mad reign
  • Theme of the of the movie is Pandora's Box, when the monsters come, there's always hope at the end
  • While it was a long film, it went by very fast
  • Mr. Fox was perfect
  • Bruce was never the same after Rachel's death. The film did a great job reflecting that
  • Alfred had some great lines and depth to his character
  • There was not quick fix to this film and I totally like that
  • The chanting was a bit much
  • I enjoyed Bane's character
  • The message of all of the 'Dark Knight' films seems to be about setting people free from rules and greed
  • There should not anymore 'Dark Knight' films. this was a great ending to a great trilogy
  • I highly recommend this film

14 dead in Shooting at 'Dark Knight' Premiere in a Colorado Theatre

This is tragic. A man open fire in during the premier of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, CO. Over 50 were wounded, 14 are dead. The shooter also had explosives in his car and home.

Here is a couple of clips

President Obama responds:
Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado.

Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my Administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time.

We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded.

As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family.

All of us must have the people of Aurora in our thoughts and prayers as they confront the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, and we must stand together with them in the challenging hours and days to come.
My heart goes out to the people in Aurora.

Rush Limbaugh believes Batman's “Bane” was made to Hurt Mitt Romney

Rush must be high, because he thinks that 'The Dark Knight' folks are using Bane to damage Mitt Romney.

Deadline reports Rush's statement:

“a lot of brain-dead people, entertainment, the pop culture crowd” – are “gonna hear Bane in the movie and they’re gonna associate Bain. The thought is that when they start paying attention to the campaign later in the year, and Obama and the Democrats keep talking about Bain, Romney and Bain, that these people will think back to the Batman movie… There are some people who think it’ll work. Others think you’re really underestimating the American people to think that will work.” Limbaugh adds: “You may think it’s ridiculous, I’m just telling you this is the kind of stuff the Obama team is lining up. The kind of people who would draw this comparison are the kind of people that they are campaigning to. These are the kind of people that they are attempting to appeal to.”
This idiot is a trip. If he knew the Batman mythos, Bane was created in 1993. How will this hurts Mittens? It won't; he's doing a great job doing that by himself.
