Aw! Because we can't handle the truth, BBC axes a gay sex scene from Torchwood:
BBC bosses decided to cut the scene - which was set to feature bisexual Captain Jack Harkness (John) enjoying a rendezvous with a hunky barman, and due to be broadcast just 20 minutes after the 9pm watershed - as well as another gruesome part of the show because the channel feared a backlash from viewers.Hopefully, Starz will keep it on. I want to see!
A BBC spokesman told The Sun newspaper: 'The UK and US versions of Torchwood are slightly different. However, these differences do not change the story in any way and the strong storylines are first and foremost to the series.'
An insider revealed the scene was axed due to its 'graphic nature' and not because it involved homosexuality.
A source added: 'It wasn't that it was a gay scene that worried people, but just the fact it was such an explicit sex scene, full stop.
