The Bionic Woman Lindsay Wagner gets a Hollywood star

This is really cute. Lindsay Wagner get a Hollywood star at the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, and her good friend Lynda Carter joins her.

It's special to see these two superwomen together.

Interesting Quote: Lynda Carter

Lynda on when she learned she was a gay icon:
It was about 15 years ago. During an interview a journalist said, “You’re such a gay icon!” and I said, “I am? That’s great!” I had no idea until that moment. But as far as being supportive of LGBT equality, I’ve always felt that it shouldn’t even be a question.  It’s a matter of basic civil rights and I don’t understand how anyone can see it differently. I would love to ask some of these homophobic politicians and “religious” people to start talking about their sex lives.  Let’s talk about what kinds of “deviant” things go on there. They really need to get over themselves. I mean, why does anyone care? I really don’t get it.

Diva Moment... Lynda Carter

Back in the day, Lynda Carter ruled the TV. And she was so big that she had several TV Specials.

Here's a piece from the her first one, which I loved to death

It's Official, Only Lynda Carter likes the New Wonder Woman Costume

Lord! The geek world was rocked by the Naomi Malone version of the Wonder Woman costume. The views were overwhelmingly negative. However, the original WW Lynda Carter liked it:
"What's not to like! Adrianne [Palicki] looks gorgeous and I'm really looking forward to seeing David E. Kelley's new series."
Gorgeous? Hardly, I mean Adrianne is very pretty, but that costume is not cute. And I'm not alone in this feeling. In a LA Times poll, the majority of the folks hated this 'fit. On other geek blogs, the jokes and puns ran wild. Here's a few:

This could be much worse. Sure, the costume is a little too shiny, the colors are a bit too bright and poor Adrienne Palicki is gonna sweat to death in all that latex.

Looks like Diana Prince has a brand new pair of shiny blue pleather pants. Oh dear.

David E. Kelley‘s new TV series is evidently going for the ‘Sexy Wonder Woman’ Halloween look. See the full image after the break.

Getting the costume right is one of the difficult factors in putting Wonder Woman on the screen. How do you make the costume look both revealing and eye-catching and simply right? This version doesn’t manage that at all. How much talcum powder does this thing require to get on and off?

I hope NBC is looking at this, because I feel we have another 'Birds of Prey' on our hands!

Lynda Carter thinks that David. E. Kelley is 'the perfect person' for Wonder Woman

Lynda has nothing but praise for David E. Kelley working on WW. She thinks he's the right one.
"I love Wonder Woman [and] I'm just really thrilled they're doing it again," she said. "They needed to do it again. I think David E. Kelley is the perfect person to do it."

She continued: "He's great at this underlying comedy and character development. I spoke to him several weeks ago and he is perfect for it, because he will really give the characters life. It's not just going to be a cartoon or a comic book thing, which is really... what we tried to do [in the '70s]."

Carter also revealed that Kelley had asked for her own opinion on who should play the title role in the forthcoming adaptation.

"He asked me what was my opinion," she confirmed. "I get asked all the time [who should play Wonder Woman] and [David] said, 'Just tell them to be patient'."

So she has faith in him. I really hope he delivers.

Interesting Quote: Lynda Carter

“Megan Fox actually kind of trashed Wonder Woman. She said she thought it was dumb, like ‘what’s the big whoop making people tell the truth.’ I like her, I just thought she shouldn’t trash Wonder Woman.”

Interesting Quote: Lynda Carter

"A cameo is kind of a broad word. As they say: "There are no small parts, there are only small actors". If it's something that is gratuitous I won't do it; if it's just for me to show up in it I wouldn't do it, but if there is something written that they think would be appropriate then most definitely I'd consider it. I would love it."

Lynda's opinion on being in the Wonder Woman movie
