New Superman Movie info?

There might be some new info about the upcoming Superman film. IGN may have the official synopsis for the film.

See here
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope -- Superman.
Sounds interesting.

When it's this bad... It's bad: Superman the Musical

I saw this over at Geeks Out and I had to share this with y'all. There was a Superman musical in the 70s called, "It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman". I never heard of it, but judging from this clip, many folks probably didn't either. Still, check it out

ACTION COMICS #9 will give us a Black Superman

Staying in tune with Marvel's bi-racial Spider-Man, DC will introduce a Black Superman.

In ACTION COMICS #9, this Superman will be brought in to fight another super being from the multiverse. We will also get an extra story about this particular Superman.

This story is a part DC's New Wave, which will explore the other DC universes. This will be a standalone story for the Black Superman, however he may be back in future story lines. I am curious to see where this will go, so I will reading it.

Joe Manganiello: 'Superman' loss left me Depressed

I knew the Superman role was a hard hit for Joe. In fact, he was a little depressed about it.

Digital Spy has the story:
Discussing how he felt after losing out on the Superman part, Manganiello added: "This was back in January. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't... I was really, severely depressed for a few months. For a few months afterwards.

"Because I really thought the direction they were taking the movie and the character, I really thought I had a great idea where to take that and I was very excited and I just wanted to try out my ideas and things. But, you know, it just wasn't meant to be.
Aww, but I'm sure the big guy will be okay. I mean, he's worship by thousands of fans. He will be fine.

Is This a 'Man of Steel' Teaser Poster?

Usually I don't post questionable stuff, but sources are saying that this is the real deal. Judge for yourself, but it kinda looks legit.

Superman will have a Sex Life

We learned at Comic Con that Clark will have a sex life or at least a sexual experience.
The panelists showed off images Shane Davis drew for the sequel to Superman: Earth One. Straczynski said that while the readers know where superman fits into Metropolis Earth One, Clark still doesn't know. He related that in the upcoming book, Clark has spent his whole life unable to have sex, and related a scene where after fighting the Parasite Clark gets depowered, takes off his suit and heads home to finally have a sexual liaison with his super-hot neighbor Lisa.

As Straczynski explained, "When he was young, Pa Kent told Clark that he'd probably never be able to engage in sexual relations due to the possibility of losing control over his powers." Clark initially passes out, but starts to get intimate with her after waking up again. Soon afterwards, however, his X-Ray vision suddenly returns, and he becomes frustrated that he slept through his seemingly only window to safely have sex.

The woman will also comment on the fact that when she changed his clothes Clark was going commando, and Superman will apologize for making her have to see that and she will say "No, it's okay." When asked why he thought this was appropriate in an all-ages book with an all-ages character, Straczynski said he felt the graphic novel was for adults, and had the "DC equivalent of an R rating."
I want scene by scene take.

Is DC Comics Ending Lois and Clark's Marriage?

Looks like this relaunch is doing more than changing costumes. There's a huge possibility that Supes and Lois' marriage will be null and void.
DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan Didio hints to PopcornBiz that, on the heels of the recently announcement of a line-wide revamp that will involve both wholesale changes and subtle tweaks to its entire roster of characters, the long-standing marriage between the Man of Steel and Metropolis’ most intrepid reporter just might be wiped away in the new continuity.

“Let’s just say it's being reexamined,” says Didio, who oversees the 77-year-old comic book company, which relaunches all of its titles with 52 new #1 issues in September, “because it's something that I think is something that is so valuable to the character's story that you really want to explore all facets of it. Not just as it exists currently.”
I guess this will give Clark that chance for Diana (rumor is WW And Superman will be hooking up)
