GLAAD calls out SNL on their Transphobic skit
GLAAD is putting SNL on blast for an ugly skit that picks on Transgendered people. Here is their statement:
This Saturday, on an airing of Saturday Night Live, NBC (a subsidiary of Comcast) broadcast a dangerous and blatantly transphobic segment which they called ‘Estro-Maxxx’ - the punchline of which was the lives of countless transgender people across the country. Here's the skit if you missed it
The piece was a mock commercial for estrogen replacement therapy and featured men with facial hair wearing dresses, meant to represent transgender women. This segment cannot be defended as “just a joke” because there was no “joke” to speak of. The attempted comedy of the skit hinges solely on degrading the lives and experiences of transgender women. Holding people up for ridicule simply on the basis of their identity fuels a dangerous and hurtful climate and puts people in danger, especially given how infrequently the media shines a fair and accurate light on the lives of transgender people.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation calls upon Comcast and NBC to apologize and remove the segment from Hulu and all future airings of the show.

"Lots of rumors out there. I want to set the record straight on freddy and Jason. First, let's talk Jason: [Damian] Shannon and [Mark] Swift wrote a great script. We are ready to go, when New Line is ready. But as of yet, they are not ready."Brad is the producer of both remakes. I'm actually glad to hear this.
"As for Freddy, as far as I know, there isnt even talk of writing another script. Rated R Horrormovies , right now, don't seem to generate interest from the studios. Everyday we want to hear from any studio that they want a horror movie, but it hasn't happened. So right now we are working on a handful of films, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Ouija."

I held out for Brandon, hoping the studio would give Brandon another shot at being Superman. But they went another way. But I want to showcase a bit of Brandon and why I think he should have been a contender.
I wish all the luck to Brandon, I think he's an actor to watch.

Invisibility Cloak may be Coming Soon
Sci-Fi geekdom should be amazed at this piece of news. An invisibility cloak is real and here already.
The "cloak" is made from two pieces of calcite crystal—a cheap, easily obtained mineral—stuck together in a certain configuration.
Calcite is highly anisotropic, which means that light coming from one side will exit at a different angle than light entering from another side. By using two different pieces of calcite, the researchers were able to bend light around a solid object placed between the crystals.
"Under the assembly there is a wedge-shaped gap," said MIT's George Barbastathis, who helped develop the new system. "The idea is that whatever you put under this gap, it looks from the outside like it is not there."
The new invisibility cloak still has its drawbacks: For one, it works best under green light. The researchers designed the cloak this way because the calcite can only be configured for a very narrow wavelength of light, and human eyes are most sensitive to green, Barbastathis said.
In addition, the cloaking effect works only if you look at the hidden object from a certain direction. Viewing the object from another angle will make it "reappear."
Also, the system can only cloak objects that fit under the mineral wedge, which in this case is just two millimeters tall. Still, a larger piece of calcite should be able to hide larger objects.
They are still working on it, but I'm sure in time, we will have real cloak of invisibility.

Henry Cavill is Superman
The Man of Steel is cast. Henry will be Kal-El, the last son of Krypton.
Best known for his role as Charles Brandon on Showtime's "The Tudors," Cavill, 27, will take on the iconic role in director Zach Snyder's film, which is expected to hit theaters in December 2012.source
In a statement, Cavill expressed his delight at being cast in the role, which was previously held by the late Christopher Reeve in four feature films in the 1970s and 1980s and Brandon Routh in Bryan Singer's 2006 film "Superman Returns."
"In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen," Cavill said.

"All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one. Well, I wouldn't say definitely. If Chris goes, 'Hey, I've got another story I think could be interesting,' then yeah, great, I'd go do that. I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel any pressure."

New Series Reboot: Dallas
Well if Wonder Woman, Hawaii 5-0 and Charlie's Angels can get a reboot, why not... Dallas!
Yes, 'Dallas' is coming back on TNT and it will continue the story of the Ewing family.
TV Line.com reveals more:
TNT’s Dallas reboot has made its first official hire: Jordana Brewster has snagged a lead role in the high-profile pilot.Well what do you think? I think this proves that writers and Hollywood are getting lazy. But it could be good.
The project — written by Cynthia Cidre and Warner Horizon — centers on feuding cousins John Ross and Christopher, the offspring of brothers J.R. and Bobby Ewing, as they clash over the future of the Ewing dynasty. Brewster will play Elena, the gorgeous daughter of the ranch’s cook who is locked in a love triangle with Christopher and John.
Brewster joins Dallas alums Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, who are set to reprise their roles from the original series as Sue Ellen and Bobby, respectively. After months of negotiations, fellow Dallas vet Larry Hagman, who played the Machiavellian J.R., has verbally committed to the project but has yet to sign a deal. Hagman had been holding out for money, prompting the studio and the network to come up with an alternative pilot script in which Hagman’s J.R. is only represented through flashbacks from the original series.

Interesting Cheating Rules Emerges
New Research has found that college students see cheating differently these days, especially when it comes to same sex cheating.
Researchers asked 718 college students to imagine being in a long-term relationship and what their reactions would be to several different cheating scenarios. So it's okay for a girl to cheat on her man if it's with another girl. Especially, if he thinks the affair could lead into a 3some. But what if it leads to her coming out as lesbian? I don't think the guys think that far in advance.
They found that overall, 50 percent of men would likely continue a relationship with a woman who had a dalliance with another woman, while 22 percent said they could forgive betrayal with another man.
For women, the results were reversed. If their boyfriend cheated with another woman, 28 percent said they'd keep him around, but only 21 percent said they would if he cheated with another man.
Published this month in the journal "Personality and Individual Differences," the study concluded the participant's reactions were based on basic jealousy instincts.
"A robust jealousy mechanism is activated in men and women by different types of cues -- those that threaten paternity in men and those that threaten abandonment in women," said Jaime Confer, the study's lead author and a PhD candidate in evolutionary psychology.
Men, they said, felt more threatened by a rival male because of paternity uncertainty, whereas they saw a female partner's homosexual affair as "an opportunity to mate with more than one woman simultaneously, satisfying men's greater desire for more partners."

"I have never been outed by anyone but myself! I did so almost twenty years ago. I never know that I would have to do it all over again publicly just because I reunited with NKOTB! I have lived my life very openly and have never hidden the fact that I am gay! Apparently the pre requiste to being a gay public figure is to appear on the cover of a magazine with the caption "I am gay". I apologize for not doing so if this is what was expected! My belief is that you live your life by example, and not by a caption on a magazine! If there ever has been any confusion about my sexuality, then you are someone that doesn't even know me!"
"I love living my life being open and honest, but at this time I choose not to discuss my private life any further! My fellow band members don't discuss their private lives with their loved ones and I don't feel that just because I am gay, I should have to discuss mine!"

Gates wants a DADT Repeal Plan by Next Week
Defense Secretary Robert Gates said he needs the repeal plan developed and rett to go by February the 4th.
Washington Blade reports:
In a five-page memorandum dated Jan. 28 and obtained by the Blade, Gates tasks Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness Clifford Stanley with devising a strategy to “facilitate the timely and orderly realization” of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal by next Friday. Please read the memo below
Gates emphasizes that open service will be implemented throughout the services at the same time, squelching concerns about whether repeal would happen in the military in a graduated process.
“This is not, however, a change that should be done incrementally,” Gates writes. “The steps leading to certification and the actual repeal must be accomplished across the entire Department at the same time, and consistent with the standards of military readiness, military effectiveness, unit cohesion, and recruiting and retention of the Armed Forces.”
President Obama on Dec. 22 signed legislation allowing for repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” but open service won’t take effect until he, the defense secretary and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff certify that the U.S. military is ready. After certification takes place, a 60-day waiting period must pass before gays can serve openly without fear of discharge.

A Petition to Pardon Kelley Williams-Bolar is Out. Thousands have signed!
Change.org has started a petition to pardon Kelley Williams-Bolar, the mother who was jailed for lyimg about what district she lived in, so her daughters could get a better education. This petition was geared towards The OH State Senate, The OH State House, Rob Nichols (Communications, Gov. Kasich), see more...The OH State Senate, The OH State House, Rob Nichols (Communications, Gov. Kasich), and Gov. John Kasich.
Here's some of the letter
As punishment for doing everything in her power to keep her children safe, Ms. Williams-Bolar, a single mother with no previous criminal record, has been made a felon by Ohio judge Patricia Cosgrove. In addition to jail time, a large fine and probation, Ms. Williams-Bolar's felony conviction has also robbed her of her future. The goal was to get 50,000 signatures. They have reached over 68,000. Thank you, BamaBoi for the info.
"'Because of the felony conviction, you will not be allowed to get your teaching degree under Ohio law as it stands today. The court's taking into consideration that is also a punishment that you will have to serve.'' - Judge Patricia Cosgrove
Although Ms. Williams-Bolar had nearly completed her education to become a teacher, under Ohio law felons are not permitted to teach. She has been robbed of the opportunity to elevate her life and the lives of her family through her own hard work. She has essentially handed a life sentence for attempting to protect her children. In a time of overwhelming economic disadvantage for so many US citizens, are loving single mothers like Williams-Bolar truly the enemy our court system should be making examples of in this way?
Ms. Williams-Bolar's attorneys are currently preparing for an appeal. Please sign this petition to let Gov. Kasich know that you do not feel that Kelley Williams-Bolar's punishment appropriately fits her crime, and that you both support and demand a full pardon.
Madness at LGBT rights activist David Kato's funeral
At David's funeral, a pastor start his sermon by attacking gay people, telling David's friends and supporters that homosexuality is wrong. This angered David's friends, but the pastor continued...
"People are turning away from the scriptures. They should turn back, they should abandon what they are doing. You cannot start admiring a fellow man."It is horrible to read this. David should have been given the respect he deserves in death, and yet foolishness and hate won't allow him peace. I am happy that his friends were there fighting for him. I hope their actions continue to send Uganda a strong message about the LGBT struggle.
Gay activists, wearing T-shirts featuring Kato's face with sleeves coloured with the gay pride flag, then stormed the pulpit and grabbed the microphone.
"It is ungodly," the pastor shouted, before being blocked from sight.
"ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE US"
An unidentified female activist then began to shout from the pulpit.
"Who are you to judge others?" she shouted. "We have not come to fight. You are not the judge of us. As long as he's gone to God his creator, who are we to judge Kato?"
Locals intervened on the side of the pastor and scuffles broke out before he was taken away to Kato's father's house to calm the situation.
Villagers then refused to bury the body at which point a group of Kato's friends, most of whom were gay, carried his coffin to the grave and buried it themselves.
Rest in Peace, David. Your work will not be in vain.

Star Trek Producer talks about the Lack of Gay Characters
Star Trek Producer Brannon Braga told AfterElton that he regrets not having a single gay character on the entire ST run.
Here is a piece of that convo:
AE: I'm very much a fan of Star Trek but unfortunately none of the series ever included a gay character. You were involved with writing two of the movies and produced or executive produced for The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise. Can you speak to why that never happened?
BB: It was a shame for a lot of us that ... I’m talking about the Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and there was a constant back and forth about well how do we portray the spectrum of sexuality. There were people who felt very strongly that we should be showing casually, you know, just two guys together in the background in Ten Forward. At the time the decision was made not to do that and I think those same people would make a different decision now because I think, you know, that was 1989, well yeah about 89, 90, 91. I have no doubt that those same creative players wouldn’t feel so hesitant to have, you know, have been squeamish about a decision like that.
AE: Why do you think science fiction, given that it’s so much forward looking, has done so poorly when it comes to being inclusive on American television?
BB: You know what’s funny is it was dealt with more metaphorically. Next Generation did a couple episodes you could say ... I worked on one for Deep Space Nine with Dax. I don’t know if I can speak to the whole genre of science fiction, certainly the Star Trek franchise as it existed at the time.
AE: Do you think 20 years ago there was a reluctance to do it because science fiction, wrongly or rightly, is perceived as being for young straight males? Were you guys concerned about that?
BB: I think it was, not so much a young man’s [issue], it was a syndicated family show, showing at six o’clock, you know, in Salt Lake City, so you had to deal with each separate affiliate rather than one network. And things like that.
It was not a forward thinking decision. Knowing the players involved, knowing the decision makers, knowing it was that they felt reluctant about, you know, we’re not saying “yes,” we’re not saying “no,” we’re not just not going to touch that right now.
Maybe more shows will follow through, or follow Torchwood.

Rahm Emanuel can Run for Mayor
Well, my Boo can run for mayor. Rahm is back on the ballot.
The Illinois Supreme Court ruled 7-0 Thursday that Emanuel qualifies as a Chicago resident and can remain on the ballot for the election, which is now less than a month away.Good news!
“I’m relieved for this. I’m relieved for the city. I’m relieved for the voters because they need the certainty that’s important for them,” Emanuel said after the ruling was handed down late Thursday afternoon. Emanuel said he immediately called his wife and parents upon hearing the news — and also took a call from President Obama.
Five Supreme Court justices said an appellate court got it all wrong Monday when it ruled that Emanuel did not meet the residency standard to run for mayor because he hadn’t physically lived in his Ravenswood home for a year prior to the Feb. 22nd election.
The majority ruling means Emanuel holds onto his position as the first name on the ballot in the election, for which early voting begins Monday.

President Obama's Statement on the Killing of Ugandan LGBT Activist David Kato
I am deeply saddened to learn of the murder of David Kato. In Uganda, David showed tremendous courage in speaking out against hate. He was a powerful advocate for fairness and freedom. The United States mourns his murder, and we recommit ourselves to David’s work.
At home and around the world, LGBT persons continue to be subjected to unconscionable bullying, discrimination, and hate. In the weeks preceding David Kato’s murder in Uganda, five members of the LGBT community in Honduras were also murdered. It is essential that the Governments of Uganda and Honduras investigate these killings and hold the perpetrators accountable.
LGBT rights are not special rights; they are human rights. My Administration will continue to strongly support human rights and assistance work on behalf of LGBT persons abroad. We do this because we recognize the threat faced by leaders like David Kato, and we share their commitment to advancing freedom, fairness, and equality for all.

Sec. of State Hillary Clinton issues a Statement on Murder of Ugandan LGBT Activist David Kato
We are profoundly saddened by the loss of Ugandan human rights defender David Kato, who was brutally murdered in his home near Kampala yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues. We urge Ugandan authorities to quickly and thoroughly investigate and prosecute those responsible for this heinous act.
David Kato tirelessly devoted himself to improving the lives of others. As an advocate for the group Sexual Minorities Uganda, he worked to defend the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. His efforts resulted in groundbreaking recognition for Uganda's LGBT community, including the Uganda Human Rights Commission's October 2010 statement on the unconstitutionality of Uganda's draft "anti-homosexuality bill" and the Ugandan High Court's January 3 ruling safeguarding all Ugandans' right to privacy and the preservation of human dignity. His tragic death underscores how critical it is that both the government and the people of Uganda, along with the international community, speak out against the discrimination, harassment, and intimidation of Uganda's LGBT community, and work together to ensure that all individuals are accorded the same rights and dignity to which each and every person is entitled.
Everywhere I travel on behalf of our country, I make it a point to meet with young people and activists -- people like David -- who are trying to build a better, stronger future for their societies. I let them know that America stands with them, and that their ideas and commitment are indispensible to achieving the progress we all seek.
This crime is a reminder of the heroic generosity of the people who advocate for and defend human rights on behalf of the rest of us -- and the sacrifices they make. And as we reflect on his life, it is also an occasion to reaffirm that human rights apply to everyone, no exceptions, and that the human rights of LGBT individuals cannot be separated from the human rights of all persons.
Our ambassadors and diplomats around the world will continue to advance a comprehensive human rights policy, and to stand with those who, with their courage, make the world a more just place where every person can live up to his or her God-given potential. We honor David’s legacy by continuing the important work to which he devoted his life.

Vote on Gay Marriage Crashed in the Iowa Senate
Iowa's haters got a slap in the face...The next step in banning gay marriage was shut down.
A Republican senator called up a proposal that would take the first small step toward banning gay marriage in Iowa, and Democratic leaders agreed to allow a vote on the procedural issue of suspending Senate rules.Silly haters, I hope they learned something from their foolishness... Probably not.
Just after 7:30 a.m, the vote failed on party lines, 26-24. All Democrats voted no and all Republicans voted yes to override the Senate President’s decision against breaking the rules.
The battle began just after 7 a.m., when Sen. Kent Sorenson, R-Indianola, asked for unanimous consent from the 50 senators to call up Senate Joint Resolution 8. The resolution, sponsored by all 24 Senate Republicans, proposes amending the Iowa Constitution to specify that marriage between one man and one woman is the only legal union valid or recognized in the state.
Senate President Jack Kibbie, D-Emmetsburg, first said “no” on calling up the resolution for a vote, saying it would violate procedures because the Democratic majority leader had already called up another resolution for a vote.
But Republicans objected, and after more consideration, Kibbie agreed to allow a vote on whether or not to override the Senate president.
“I’ve been around here about as long as anybody and it’s the first time we’ve had to call a vote on the ruling of the chair and that’s what we’re going to do,” said Kibbie, who was first elected to the Iowa Legislature in 1961 and has served 24 years in the Senate.
Minority Republicans saw today’s vote as a weigh-in on the constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.
Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, D-Council Bluffs, said it was simply a vote on rules. Traditional rules in the Senate give the leaders of the majority party final authority over bills or resolutions – which committee they’re assigned to, whether they’re called up for a vote.

Ugandan gay rights activist David Kato was found dead
Ugandan gay rights activist, David Kato was found dead in his home. David was listed in the infamous list of the "top homosexuals" last year.
A neighbor found David Kato dead and notified authorities, according to his lawyer. This is horrible! I can't imagine what the other gays are feeling at this point. My heart goes out to the family and friends of David. He did so much for the gay community over there.
Kato's money and some clothes were missing after the attack, said John Onyango, his attorney.
It was unclear whether his killing was linked to a front-page story in a Ugandan tabloid that reignited anti-gay sentiments late last year.
The story included a list of "top 100 homosexuals" with their photos, addresses and a banner with the words "Hang Them." Kato's name and picture were on the list.
Arrest warrants have been issued for two suspects: A taxi driver found near the victim's house and an ex-convict who was staying with the victim prior to the killing, Onyango said.
Kato told CNN last year that that he feared for his life after the list was released. His lawyer said he had informed authorities in Mukono town, where he lived, of his fears.
"The villagers want to set my house ablaze," he told CNN at the time. "They want to burn my house ... (they say) can you go away before my house is burned."
Authorities in the Mukono criminal investigations department declined to comment pending further investigations.

The Comic Book Bible, Wizard Magazine is Done

He confirmed that the company has gone public and will now be the producers of the Comic Con Tour, holding events across major cities in the US.
In addition, the company will launch a brand-new digital magazine in February 2011.
"This is a very exciting day for Wizard World and the industries it serves," said Shamus. "Having the Tour produced by a public company provides additional opportunities to expand and grow the Tour. The new digital magazine Wizard World will give consumers the content they want in a magazine format with which they are familiar, but distributed in a form that is always available at any time on any device. It is a natural evolution for us in this market."
Wow... You know, this hits hard a little. Back in the day, I use save up to get Wizard Magazine with my weekly comic pack. Wizard was the Almanac of comics, telling you all the latest hype and news about your favorite comics.
It was a must-have for me, I truly enjoyed the magazine over the years. But, I knew it would be a matter of time before Wizard would close shop. Just didn't think it would be now.

Mom Arrested for Sending her Daughters to Better School
This hurts, y'all. Kelley Williams-Bolar was trying to give her daughters the best education to succeed in life. So she lied about where they lived to put them in the highly exclusive Copley-Fairlawn School District. But once the truth was revealed, Kelley was arrested.
She did this for her kids. When schools are failing our inner city youth and opportunities for success is passing them by, I understand why she did what she did. I support Kelley's efforts to provide for her kids.

Glee's Ryan Murphy has a Hissy Fit over Kings of Leon's Rejection
Somebody needs to get it together. Glee's creator Ryan Murphy was pissed at Kings of Leon because they didn't release their songs for Glee's use. See here:
Then there are artists whose catalogs are off-limits. Glee’s best-known rejection: Kings of Leon, who rarely license their music. Murphy’s message to nonbelievers the Followill brothers? “F--- you, Kings of Leon,” he says, raising the volume of his monotonal interview voice ever so lightly. “They’re self-centered assholes, and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument. It’s like, OK, hate on arts education. You can make fun of Glee all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music.”Ryan, it's not that serious. Glee is not that serious. Let's not go down this path, it's silly.
Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill tells THR: “This whole Glee thing is a shock to us. It’s gotten out of hand. At the time of the request, we hadn’t even seen the show. It came at the end of that record cycle, and we were over promoting [“Use Somebody”]. This was never meant as a slap in the face to Glee or to music education or to fans of the show. We’re not sure where the anger is coming from.”

Interesting (Tweet) Quote: Cher
“We didn’t get a nomination 4 best song ! That sucks ! Diane’s song Is so beautiful ! It’s hard to understand how u win … The Golden Globe 4 BEST SONG & not even get nominated by the OSCARS? Oh well it is..what it is ,,,,the sun is still shining !”
Yes, it is what it is. Cher's not happy that "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" was snubbed for an Oscar. I understand, remember "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" won for Best Song back in 2005?

Will McG direct the New Wonder Woman TV Series?
Hot rumor on the WW front. Word out on the Ho Stroll is McG may direct Wonder Woman new series.
Charlie Angels helmer McG is being called upon to help revive another female superhero franchise.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that McG has emerged as the odds-on favorite to direct the pilot for NBC’s much-hyped Wonder Woman remake.
The news comes four days after the Peacock gave the David E. Kelley-produced reboot an 11th hour green light.
On the surface, McG is an obvious choice to shepherd Wonder Woman. In addition to his ties to the Charlie’s Angels movies and ABC’s in-the-works remake, the multi-hyphenate has deep roots in the TV biz. He currently serves as an executive producer on Nikita, Human Target, Supernatural and Chuck. (He also directed the Chuck pilot back in 2007.) It also helps that McG’s production company is based at Warner Bros.I'm not sure what to think about that. I saw 'Terminator Salvation' and I was NOT pleased.

Interesting Quote: Tea Party Patriots of the Twin Cities
“Please call Michele Bachmann’s Office and tell her that she does not speak for the Tea Party. Michele has announced she will be giving the ‘Tea Party Response’ to the President’s State of the Union Address. The Tea Party Patriots Organization is a grass roots organization. One person has no right to speak for the whole organization.”Ooooh, girl! They told your ass!

READ President Obama's State of the Union Address
It’s no secret that those of us here tonight have had our differences over the last two years. The debates have been contentious; we have fought fiercely for our beliefs. And that’s a good thing. That’s what a robust democracy demands. That’s what helps set us apart as a nation.
But there’s a reason the tragedy in Tucson gave us pause. Amid all the noise and passions and rancor of our public debate, Tucson reminded us that no matter who we are or where we come from, each of us is a part of something greater – something more consequential than party or political preference.
We are part of the American family. We believe that in a country where every race and faith and point of view can be found, we are still bound together as one people; that we share common hopes and a common creed; that the dreams of a little girl in Tucson are not so different than those of our own children, and that they all deserve the chance to be fulfilled.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) leads the push for a Gay Marriage Ban in D.C.
In hopes to gain votes and support from hate groups, certain GOP fools will pursue legislation to ban gay marriage in D.C.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee (RSC), told The Hill that he will push for a vote on the controversial issue in the 112th Congress. The RSC has 175 members. “I think RSC will push for it, and I’m certainly strongly for it. I don’t know if we’ve made a decision if I’ll do it or let another member do it, but I’m 100 percent for it,” Jordan said.
In the last Congress, Jordan was the lead sponsor on the D.C. Defense of Marriage Act. The bill was introduced after the D.C. City Council and then-Mayor Adrian Fenty indicated they would recognize same-sex marriages. This is so ridic! Why are they interfering in this? Idiots! And let's remember Jim's name. He should be on the list of folks to vote out of office.
Jordan’s measure garnered 53 co-sponsors last year. But it is expected to attract more support in the GOP-led House in 2011.
